Yes, excess absences due to Coronavirus/COVID pandemic, which take you over the total number of absences allowed i.e. 180 days at any one time or 540 days in total in the last 10 years before the date of application, are allowed if you are able to provide evidence to show that you were unable to return to the UK, but for
such as
Your or your family member’s Positive COVID test result/s or hospitalisation evidence(bills, letter from doctor/hospital, etc.)
Copy of your original return flight or intended date of return to the UK
Flight Cancellation email/s from the airline
Flight rebooking email
Any evidence that you returned to the UK as soon as you were medically fit to travel, etc.
Please note that if you have excess absences, then we suggest that you should take legal representation as it is at the discretion of the caseworker to assess all the evidence provided and decide whether or not to excuse the excess absences..
